We spent our last weekend as Illinois residents cruising down the Chicago river and having dinner at Sunda. To save money, we bought tickets on Groupon, but as it turned out the cruise company oversold seats & the next available cruise was not until June. In the end, it cost more because we weren’t able to get a refund on Groupon. (Don’t get me started on that.). We couldn’t allow a $40 hiccup to ruin our last weekend in Chicago, so we went into the city anyway & bought tickets directly from Wendella. Note: this is going to be a picture-heavy post. You’ve been warned.
Cruising the river offered such an awesome view of the city that we wouldn’t have seen, otherwise. Our tour guide was well-versed on Chicago’s history & architecture; and other than the views, this was my favorite part of the cruise. If you ever find yourself in Chicago, this is one cool way to explore that I can totally stand behind.
