Winter storm Saturn – also known as the “underdog” of winter storms – surprised us, all! The meteorologists predicted that the slow-moving storm would last from Wednesday to early Friday morning leaving behind less than a foot of snow. Saturn, however, had its own idea, which apparently was to bury all of us alive. In five years of living in Massachusetts, Saturn is by far the worst (or the best depending on how you look at it) storm we’ve experienced.
I’m happy to report that we managed to dig ourselves out. Fine, you got me – Jay dug us out while I walked around taking pictures, assessing the damage, and awkwardly posing for pictures.
It’s hard to believe that spring is merely nine days away. So much for “springing forward,” huh? Clearly Mother Nature does not care that we have already set our clocks forward & lost an hour of (much needed) sleep, because winter is clinging around.
I’m sure I’ll probably get booted out of New England just for writing this, but I love the snow & I hope it sticks around. Spring will come soon enough because somewhere beneath all the snow are tiny little buds just waiting to be discovered. Until then, I’ll be kicking up fresh powder in my wellies or cozying up to Jay & Reesie.
