It is said that rain on a wedding day is a sign of good luck. What then of a torrential downpour on the eve of the wedding? It must be very, very good luck. At least that’s what I choose to believe. Especially because the night before Jay & I were married 6.5 years ago, it rained all night long.
The eve of Olga & Lizandro’s wedding was no different. It rained the entire 3.5 hour drive from Philadelphia to Fredericksburg; and the closer we got to the wedding location the harder the rain fell. And just as it did on our wedding day, October 4th began with a light drizzle followed by bright, cloudless, blue skies. The perfect weather for a wedding.
The bride was glowing. The groom was beaming from ear-to-ear. There was so much love in the air; and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. After the wedding, we found out that there was a major problem with wedding flower delivery & that’s why the reception was devoid of flowers. To be quite honest, it’s not something I noticed because we were too busy having a great time. Also, Olga & Lizandro were on cloud nine & I never would have guessed that something was amiss.
