In Memory of Boots

It’s been seven months since we lost Snuggles; and here we are again, mourning the loss of another four-legged family member, Boots. This comes as a huge shock to all of us. Yes, he celebrated his twelfth birthday but he was so active and healthy (so we thought). We all thought we had at least another couple of years with him. Poor Cody (our other dog) has been walking around the house looking for Boots. It breaks my heart.

We will miss your playfulness.

We will miss the odd ways you chose to show your affection.

We will miss the crazy things you used to do to get our attention. Putting together a puzzle and reading the newspaper will never be the same.

We I will miss dressing you up in ridiculous hats & seeing your if-looks-could-kill stare downs.

We will even miss your ability to get into places you weren’t supposed to be.

Most of all, we will just miss you. May you rest in peace, Boo-Boots. You’re forever in our hearts.
