Exploring Chicago: Pizza & A Bean

For the next nine months (on & off), Chicago will be “home” for us, Cruzes. With that in mind, Jay & I decided not to jam-pack our itinerary, and instead opted for a walk through Millenium Park and a deep dish pizza. There may have been a Chicago dog or two hurt in the process.

After we had taken all of the obligatory "bean" pictures, we wandered away from the crowd and right into the open doors of Giordano's.

We ordered a half sausage, half-cheese deep dish; and patiently waited the 45 minutes or so for it to come out. Being the newbies we are, we didn’t know you can call in your order before arriving at the restaurant to avoid the wait. We won’t make that mistake next time! And how was the pizza you ask? It was delicious & worth the wait.

Clearly.

As an added bonus, there’s a skylight in the main dining area that allows you to enjoy the beauty of the towering skyline (while trying to avoid the (hot) weather).
