Eating Our Way Through Boston

Jay & I have been eating our way through Boston lately – Yamato’s for all-you-can-eat sushi, Hei La Moon for dim sum on Sundays, and last Saturday we went to Yasu for Korean BBQ with a few friends. The food was pretty good, but it still doesn’t hold a flame to Chong’s in California. The search continues.

Before heading back to Ro’s apartment, we made a detour to pick up some plum wine.

Pick your poison. It was my first time trying Ume Blanc, but I really enjoyed how light and fruity it tastes. If sweet, and I do mean sweet, is what you’re after, the Choya Umeshu is for you. It probably wasn’t the best pairing for the vanilla crème brûlée that I brought for dessert, but like good friends, the girls dutifully ate it all up.

I’m not sure what’s next on the menu, but I’m open to suggestions!

I love plum wine! Some of the ones that are really sweet taste like cough syrup, I’ve been looking for a good one!
